1. Plan ahead for swimming. Try to calculate the time it takes food to travel from your mouth to your pouch, and eat your meals at a time that will allow you the least amount of output when you plan to swim.

3. The stoma should be the same color all over. If you have a lot of color changes you should have your stoma examined by your medical professional.

4. A wafer (or skin barrier with flange) should have a stoma opening between 1/16^TH of and inch to 1/8^TH of an inch larger than the stoma with paste or barrier rings (like eakin seals) to fill in the gap.
